The Waldo’s Coffeehouse welcomes back: ASPEN ANONDA (Countryman) FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th AT 7:00 PM, The opening act will be Jarrett Wade with some jazzy piano pieces.

September of 2015 marked the premier of Waldo’s Coffeehouse.  Since then we have hosted 25 concerts with a phenomenal variety of artists. Now it’s time to celebrate 3 years of Waldo’s on Friday, September 14th.  And what better way to do that than by bringing back the artist who got it all started; Aspen Countryman, the American Idol hopeful.  Since “Countryman” implies a country singer, she has taken on a new persona and now uses her middle name, Anonda, as her stage name. Aspen enjoys mixing jazzy melodies with pop lyrics to pull her listeners in and her musical career just keeps on growing!  Want to listen to Aspen’s beautiful music? Well, here are some links to enjoy her sweet sound:

We were listening and based on the recent Waldo’s Coffeehouse Survey, we are going to experiment with a new performance schedule: We will have our event on FRIDAY, September 14th at 7:00pm, to be precise. Mark your calendars for this special date, for a special occasion, with a special guest.

The opening act for Aspen will be Jarrett Wade with some jazzy piano pieces. Jarrett is a good friend of Ginger White’s son and after listening to him several times she finally thought it’s time for him to take the “big stage”.  And he agreed.

The Friday concert at Emerson UUC in Marietta starts at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Entrance donation is $10. Snacks are available, but contributions by members to our snack table are always appreciated. Adult beverages will be provided for a nominal donation. As always, free childcare is offered for this event with advance RSVP to dre@emersonuu.org  Childcare RSVP Deadline for this event is Wednesday, September 12th at 9:00 PM.  Please include children’s names, ages and any special needs the children may have in order for us to staff this event appropriately and allow our staff Caregivers to provide the best care possible.

Two more concerts will be offered before wrapping up 2018. Please note Waldo’s Coffeehouse Fall Events below and mark them on your calendar as well.

The Waldo’s Coffeehouse welcomes back: Hiroya Tsukamoto August 11. Opening act will be, like last year, two of our own “homegrown” favorites: Stephanie and Russell Puffer.

Hiroya Tsukamoto is back at Waldo’s Coffeehouse on August 11

Soon the summer will be over and school will start again. Time also for Waldo’s Coffeehouse to get back in full swing. So what could be a better start than bringing back one of the most beloved artists from last year’s schedule: Hiroya Tsukamoto. This incredible guitar player from Japan awes the audience with his wonderful techniques, taking the listener to uncommon sonic landscapes. He is a truly unusual talent whose pieces ease the listener in and out of his more contemplative vocal pieces, and afford the best chances to really appreciate his precision, movement, expressiveness, and dynamic playing.

Opening act for Tsukamoto will be, like last year, two of our own “homegrown” favorites: Stephanie and Russell Puffer.

The concert at Emerson UUC in Marietta starts on August 11 at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Entrance donation is $10. Snacks are available, adult beverages will be provided for a nominal donation.

The rest of the year will be interesting, too. Please see Waldo’s Coffeehouse fall events below and mark them on your calendar.
